Streaming Devices

This section will help you adjust settings on various streaming devices for the best experience. Bellow is a visual aid on navigating plex settings that applies to a majority of devices.

For those able to navigate the settings much quicker, see the summarized settings below

Just a few notes and pointers:

– Every device requires its own customization, you may need to repeat these steps for each device or app

– The Plex menu might look different on each device, but the settings are generally in the same place.

– Use the photos to help guide you.

If you have any issues, feel free to reach out for help.

——

– From settings, press the back button and return home.

– Once home, press back once more and the pinned

libraries should be listed in the left column.

– Under all of the libraries, select “more” with

three dots next to it to show all available libraries.

——

– By default, Plex shows its “free” libraries, which are full of ads.

We want to hide these and show only our libraries.

– Under the available Libraries, find the ones labeled

“SpaceChef J.A.R.V.I.S.” (my libraries).

– Scroll to each Plex library with a shaded pin,

press the left arrow, and select the three dots.

——

——

– A menu will pop up and Select “Unpin from sidebar”
– Repeat this for each shaded pin under Plex.

——

– Under the “SpaceChef J.A.R.V.I.S.” libraries, make sure all pins are shaded.

– If any pin is unshaded, select the three dots next to it and choose “Pin to sidebar.”

Note: Depending on your listening preferences, you may want to leave Music, Audiobook, or Headspace unpinned if you plan to use the PlexAmp app.

——

——

– Press the back button to return home.

– You should now only see the “SpaceChef J.A.R.V.I.S.” libraries and no longer see the Plex ones with ads.

——

– To change the order of the libraries, on the home page,

click the three dots next to the library you want to move

and select “Reorder”.

– Rearrange the library order as you prefer

(e.g., movies first, then TV shows).

——

Congratulations! You’re ready to watch!
