– Open the Plex app on your iOS or Android device.
– Tap the three lines menu (☰).

– Tap the Gear icon (Settings).

– Tap Video.
– Tap Quality.

– Change Automatically adjust quality: OFF

– Next select “Limit cellular data”
– Adjust this setting based on your cellular/data plan
– If you have limited data, you should check “Limit cellular data”
– Select the best option, and average like (0.7 Mbps, 320p) should be fine but you can always adjust again later

– Tap Remote Streaming.
– Tap Show All.
– Select Maximum.

– Adjust based on your connection, if you have a lot of buffering then lower the quality

– Under Music Quality set Remote streaming: Original
– Use low quality on cellular: ON/OFF (adjust based on your cellular data plan)

– Go back to the main settings menu

– Select the Downloads settings

– These are the suggested settings:
– Use Cellular Data: Un-Checked
*If your downloading videos to watch offline, I highly suggest you do so over wifi as it will likely be
very slow on cellular for videos. If your in a bind you can flip it on as needed

You’ll see ads suggesting you upgrade to Premium or sign up for “Plex Pass” (same thing). The choice is yours and depends on how often you use Plex.

Currently, it’s $39.99 for the year, (just note this is just for additiaonl features and nothing goes to me). While they list a whole slew of features these are really the only relevant ones,

Sonic Analysis – Works with PlexAmp and build libraries/Mixes based on your like, listening preferances and moods

Offline Downloads – Allows you to download content for offline watching on the app (like for flights or scenarios with no connection)

Skip Intro/Credits – Adds the funcition to auto skip intros and credits (when bingeing shows for example)

In my opinion its worth it but the choice is yours
